I feel so untouched right now...

This weekend was pretty fabulous.  It started out as a pretty laid back week cause I was on vacation for the most part.  I only had two days to work but had a ton to catch up on.  It was a bit depressing to be back in town but glad in a while. I liked my routine in life, living more green out here than at home.  Although I miss the clear blue skies and fresh mountain air.  Currently I feel untouched to everything here.  I think everyone goes through a stage but begins to remember what they are doing to get them back on track.  I don't even know if that makes any sense.  But I have fallen in love with the Veronica's song.

The video is pretty fabulous.  Othewise I had a decent weekend.  It started on Thursday night pretty much.  Good in Bed has a super fun bbq.  I had to take public transportation over to her place which took almost 2 hours round trip.  But it was worth it as usual.  Friday night was rather insane. My coworker Alice in Wonderland* decided to meet GIB and her friends out.  I got ready and by the time she arrived, I still had not chose an outfit. I stood in front of the mirror and could understand that bluefly commercial of having nothing on to wear.  ha ha.  Anyway I chose something random and just pinned my hair back with bobby pins.  Everyone seemed to like the outfit so I didn't care after 10 minutes.  AIW and I started out at Trinity since GIB was not ready to meet up due to a dinner delay.  We discussed relationships and the lack of available guys in the bar. I have to admit its not the best place to meet someone.  Anyway we proceeded next door to the lovely abode of Hong Kong.  GIB immediately purchased three scorpion bowls, which I steered clear of but was interrupted by pictures to have to pose and drink some.  The last time I had this concoction, my new friend was our downstairs toilet bowl.  After a few passes to dance with some guys we left the place in search of some fun dancing.

Outside, a pack of seven of us started down the road.  A drunk 5'6" guy ran into GIB and another one of her friends.  I looked at him and called him out as being disgusting.  He blew me off like I was a crazy person.  I told him his actions of stupidity made me want to slap him.  He turned his cheek and said why don't you.  If you know me, don't ever offer me to do bodily harm, I won't hesitate any second.  I pulled my arm back and a quick loud smack could be heard.  He quickly turned around.  I told him I could kick him in the balls if necessary.  His friend got pissed but I was like tell him not to be such a douche bag.  I left infuriated that men think that they can still treat women like they own them.  Anyway it was the greatest highlight of the night.  So don't mess with me in heels, I am a bitch.

Other news, I read some fun articles over the weekend and this morning.  Unfortunately I did not have my usual fruit bowl because I slept in and didn't go grocery shopping yesterday due to my lack of activity in the humidity.  But I did do some decent reading.

Article 1:  Nerd is the new hottie.  I thought this was pretty amusing since I fit that exact thing in high school.  In college I turned hippie but still had a nerd aspect of my awesome skills of knowing the most random facts in life.  But yes, this is pretty funny, I had no idea Google has an award for a Geek Pagent.

Article 2: Seriously, I can't believe this happened in Massachusetts of all places.  If you haven't heard of this story, there was a pact made in a Glouchester high school, girls needed to get pregnant by graduation.  I can respect when an adult makes a decision to have a child but seriously, who is going to help raise this child.  You high schooler don't have a job, no education or experience to know how to support a child.  I hope the parents help out but seriously, a pact?  Weird for sure!

Article 3: This reminded me of that old song, "Where the Boys Are.'  But the story discussed 20-somethings. I never really put much thought into where influence occurs for my age group.  I then remembered that most of us don't want any input from people because we KNOW EVERYTHING.  But I found a hilarious website off of this article.  Jake and amir, are two crazy characters that cracked me up on Friday. I was suppose to be working but wasn't.  Anyway I laughed so hard. I included my favorite 2-min clip here:

Do you have a first-aid kit ready...

These past few days have been a river with rocks.  Life has been passing me by and nothing can stop the flow.  I called into work today, I had exhaustion.  It was kind of cool to rest cause I have been on the constant go, weird cause I was on vacation. I arrived back into the city last night, early morning.  I wasn't able to watch the Celtics win, I was a bit annoyed about.  I could only blame airines on my part, which made me miss my first flight. I have to be grateful to G String Diva since she drove to pick me up.  I chose this song since I had to use a first-id kit on my vacation.  Not for me but for The Sister.

Vacation was fabulous, it was a bittersweet ending.  I arrived in Albuquerque two hours late due to taxing on the runway.  I went to bed around 3 NM time and 5 BOS time.  I woke up a few hours later to swim with the family and return to my hometown.  It was an overall fun day, I ate smother red chile blue corn beef enchiladas...orgasmic I must say The Parents were very laid back and happy to have the two daughters home.  Once we got back to the house, The Married Ones, aka The Brother and Wife, met us.  After a healthy 8 hours of sleep I went to mass with The Mother and continued a two-hour breakfast conversation to catch up.  Everyone reconviened home to get ready for camping.  We traveled to Colorado and set up camp in the late evening.  The next morning was beautiful!  The Father and The Sister and I went out on a leisure bike ride. Not leisure at all, it was a tough crazy ride, I just read reviews and is is pretty much for the experienced bike rides.  Note to self, bike a couple of times before heading on this again. The last time I rode a bike was probably a year ago. Thanks to my marathon training, my cardiovascular was decent.  I would have rather ran this than bike ride.  My ass is still feeling the lack of suspension.

The trail was pretty brutal, we carried out bikes a couple of times.  My white tank top is now brown in a couple of places.  Lots of mud.  I think I pushed my bike about 1/4 of the trail, about 5 miles worth.  Since it was a 20-mile trail.  Did I mention this was all high-altitude. I could feel the burn in my lungs for a while.  Anyway I had a great day riding, the views were spectacular.  Our codeword of the day was "loon."  If someone needed a break or was in danger we had to yell the word to alert others.  We only used the word after The Sister fell. Poor thing she was right behind me, fell about 10 feet down, hitting her head, back and knees.  A couple trees saved her but she had a cut open finger.  I had to be doctor to her at the campsite.  I would definitely do this again, the experience was invigorating.

Camping was not roughing it, mostly luxury camping.  I made smores and enjoyed the cold air.  We proceeded home.  The rest of the vacation was spent with the animals at the farm and ranch.  My grandpa apparently had man girlfriends who took some of his land, so I hear from The Grandmother (The Father's).  I spent time talking to The Grandmother about her summer plans.  She had to go to a banquet at a casino.  She seemed pretty psyched. Well the horses and cows seemed to be happy.  The Father decided we needed to drop off a one-ton grass bail off with the horses.  The horses were exstatic and I was put to work trying to get it in the proper bin.  It was tricky and I was full of grass.  The only injury sustained was a piece of flying wood to my eyebrow.  Otherwise I had to return home.

I hate airlines.  I will state that.  My flight was delayed thus missed connections.  I had to catch a different flight which made me late getting in. Otherwise I am back.  Not too happy about it due to humidity.  I heart home, there is no humidity and everything is much cheaper.  I hope to move back someday.  Anyway hope adventures are good. But back to work and running for me here.  I will include more later!

drinking with The Parents...is funny.  Tonight I lauged enough to last me decades.  The Sister would agree I hope.  If not I am crazy.  The Mother decided it would be a good idea to drunk dial a friend and then watch serious movies of Josh Hartnett.  I heart him by the way.  Anyway its a night, I am done and done.

Well unfortunately, there won't be a video for this post. I am enroute to NM to visit my family. This morning I went to work at 7am. I stayed much later than anticipated, one hour to be exact.I had to consult my boss on the progress of my project which sucked. I haven't been sad about my skill level until this study. I can find the correct method for stupid compounds. Very frustrating, which is now being comforted by some beer. Anyway, I got back to my house at 10. It was pretty warm out, the heat makes me want to vomit, badly. I called for a cab at 1055, none were available until 1130. I got nervous and pissed. I ended up walking to the train in the horrible heat. I cursed all the cabbies in the US. I got to the train and was able to get on and make it to the commuter rail by noon. After the rail ride arrived in Providence I needed to catch the bus to the airport. I got to the main terminal and freaked out. I felt like I was already in NM or in the South (I could only imagine) because there were tons of hispanics and black people around. I saw all the booties and hips that the NE area doesn't have much of. I left to walk to the only restaurant in Providence I knew about.the one I went to McFaddens with my Running Buddy during the Providence Half Marathon. I ate a buffalo chicken sandwich, which was awesome. I left to catch the bus. I saw a 16-year old with the teeniest baby.I was going to make a comment but decided against it. I ended up sitting on the bus nervously since we had to drive on some interstate. I arrived at the airport finally, wasn't sure if I was actually going to the airport. It was awkward but funny. On the intercom, a man in a heavy cheery voice announced someone left their belt at the security area, and to check your pants for your missing belt. I couldn't help but laugh out loud. After this I settled at some cheesy bar, some loud man talking on his phone about upos or something. Well I am trying to finish my tall one before boarding the plane. I will need all the help on this 6 hour journey back to NewMexCO for some fun camping! Otherwise, stay cool and don't do drugs...without me. XOXo

And I’m leavin’ never lookin back again...

Life has been awesome here.  Just the past two days have been hellish.  Its been highs of 95 degrees and % humidity here.  The only solution to my problem is I'm leaving...well just on vacation.

I apologize for my lack of blogging.  Its been busy here.  Last weekend I did my first 14-miler in a while, did the AIDS Awareness 10K walk and watched the new SATC with 12 of my other friends.  This week went well.  The sad part was that I had to say goodbye to The Sister.  She is going home to visit with the family.  Slowly she begged me to consider coming out. I looked at airline prices and they were pretty ridiculous.  On Friday The Mother asked if I would come out.  I looked up airline tickets and decided 280 is pretty cheap to fly home for a week.  I booked the flight and felt excited.  I rarely do spontaneous things.  I was worried about work since my boss asked last week if I was ever going to take vacation.  The last time I took vacation time was a half day on a Friday.  Pretty funny if you ask me, but I asked my boss about time off and he was more than happy for me to get out of there.  Not that I am a horrible worker but I just work too hard.

I chose this video, one because G String Diva said it was like watching soft porn and because I had to laugh at the fact Jesse McCartney wrote the other song Bleeding Love. Ha!

This weekend was pretty festive.  I had a friend's 30th birthday, it was a pub crawl in Central Square. I had a blast with my running friends, deciding to take it easy, not at all.  I did come home with a phone number, unfortunately it was a girls because I complimented her cute bicolored shoes.  We decided that we have similar tastes and should hang out.  Random but funny.  I ended the night with pizza and a cab home.  Not bad.  Last night Corona and I tried to watch Becoming Jane but the comcast system wasn't working.  We settled for a few glasses of Moet Chandon and Stranger than Fiction.  The movie was fabulous.  I heart Maggie Gylenhaal. Corona and I planned on running the next morning, it was wicked warm out.  We had fun and motivated each other to suffer through the 13 miles.  Not bad.  I ended up installing my AC in my room, it is heaven sent.  We had a few difficult things but it worked out well after all.  I fixed my bed with new lighter sheets and passed out.  I woke up and went to get sushi with the help of the car from G String Diva and Potter.  I am now at home, reading blogs.  Its been fun, The Sister cracks me up.  Hopefully I can catch up more later.  We shall see.
